INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR ANIMAL CLINICAL PATHOLOGY

About the ISACP

The International Society of Animal Clinical Pathology was founded in 1983 as the International Society of Animal Clinical Biochemistry and held its first meeting in Germany in 1984. With a name change, the organization expanded its scope to include other aspects of laboratory sciences, including hematology. The aim of the Society is to advance the science of animal clinical biochemistry and pathology by promoting and encouraging the study, practice, and advancement of knowledge within the discipline and facilitating global scientific exchange and networking. ISACP Biannual Congresses are a dynamic international venue for scientific communication and education in all areas of clinical laboratory medicine, including basic research, technological advancements, and diagnostic applications. The Congresses also provide a unique cultural experience and encourage international networking, collaborations, and friendships. ISACP members include scientists, biochemists, pathologists, and trainees from a wide range of backgrounds and from more than 40 countries. Since 1984, the Society has met 13 times at various locations throughout the world. Recent meetings have been in Spain, Turkey, Chile, USA, France, and Japan. The upcoming XVth Biannual Congress will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 3-7 July 2012, hosted by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and in conjunction with the annual conference of the European Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathology. We invite you to join the ISACP and look forward to meeting you at the Congress!
